Windows 10: Cannot sign in to any Microsoft services, Win 10 build 1709 on PC

I am having major problems here which has developed over the past few days, hope someone can help me. I am unable to sign in to One Drive, Windows Store, One Note, or Cortana and many other Microsoft facilities from the desktop. If I use Edge I cannot sign in to my MS live account or Bing. I have tried reinstalling One Drive which gets as far as the sign in process but no further with just a spinning dial. This has been a cumulative process with one application after the other just giving me a spinning dial on trying to sign in until eventually I'm shut out of everything Microsoft now. All other sites I use where sign in is required appears to be working fine


In addition, when trying to download anything via Edge it hangs the File Explorer when I go to the Downloads folder to open the downloaded item.


I have installed a third party browser which has thankfully allowed me to at lest access my MS account. Everything is working fine from my Android phone using the Microsoft Launcher with Edge/Bing so it seems very strange that I'm having this problem with the PC. So I'm now without access to search and many other essential facilities on the PC.


Any advice will be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

Windows 10 won't allow me to "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead"

  Do you receive any error message when you try to Switch to Microsoft account?
  

I suggest you to follow the methods below:

Method 1

I Suggest you to start the "Microsoft account sign in assistant" service and check if it helps. If its already started then stop it and restart the service.To do so,follow the steps below:

• Type services in the search bar.
• Select Microsoft account sign in assistant service.
• Right click on Microsoft account sign in assistant
  and click stop to stop the service.
• Right click on Microsoft account sign in assistant
  again and click restart to start the service.

Method 2

I suggest you to create a local admin account and then switch to microsoft account and check if it helps:

• Press “Windows + I” keys to open Settings.

Creative X-Fi Soundcards and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 = Complete Disaster / Not Working

Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.
