Windows 10: Cannot sign in to my work account on windows 11 pro even though it appears to be setup...

Hi. I have just purchased a new laptop with windows 11 home which I have upgraded to 11 Pro. If I look at the licence in settings it shows Win 11 pro as activated. If I now try to setup my work account I can see the option in settings to add a school or work account, and indeed can do so. I put in my user name and password and after a few seconds my work account appears as setup. Great - except it does not work! If I reboot the PC there is no option to change to my work account on the login screen, and there appears to be no way I can actually log into my work account even though it appears i

Forced to sign in to work or school account during setup

I have a Surface, so my troubleshooting steps might not be exactly what you need to do. I rolled back to Windows 10 via recovery image, after running the Surface Data Eraser. Then, I signed in with a local account by entering in my personal email during setup and having it kick back. Once in, I was able to sign in with my personal account.

In your case, try using 10 Pro, and doing what I did during the setup. Then, upgrade to 11 Pro.
