  1. Cannot Sign in to windows 10 with Microsoft account. Receive "Something Went Wrong" error

    Ok so I have searched far and wide looking for a solution and so far, nothing.
    A few weeks ago when I changed my Microsoft account password my computer had an error along the lines of "We had an issue connecting to your account, click here to fix the issue." I ignored it for a while then finally decided to try to fix it. It would ask for my credentials to sign in, then it would fail. I tried multiple times and followed some basic troubleshooting steps. One of the steps was to switch my account to a local account. Since doing that I just receive the following:

    "Something went wrong
    Try again, or select Cancel to set up your device later."

    No matter what I have tried, nothing seems to work, or give me any other options.
    Summary of what I have tried.

    * Ensured TLS 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and SSL 3.0 were on.
    * Tried multiple builds, currently on 1809
    * Created other local accounts and tried adding microsoft accounts to those. (Just gives me the same S.W.W. error)
    * Restarted my computer dozens of times
    * Tried changing my Microsoft account password back to my original

    * ran DISM.exe
    * ran SFC.exe
    * signed into my laptop using Microsoft account
    * other stuff I can't remember currently.
    * disabled any anti-malware
    * ensured no proxy server is on
    * Connected to network directly with Cat5e cable.
    * Disabled non-microsoft services in MSconfig

    System Details
    OS: Win 10 Pro currently on 1809
    Was subscribed to insider builds and have since opted out.
    Connected to WiFi with 115Mb/s DL and 10Mb/s UL
    16GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 7 1700 @3GHz, 500GB SSD

    I will add any other info as requested.

    Any help is appreciated, thank you.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

    • Launch the Store from your Start menu.
    • Click the user icon next to the search box.
    • Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
    • Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
    • When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”
