Windows 10: Cannot start capture error - UWP Magnifying Glass

I am running Windows 11 Pro version 21H2. I have some applications that have very small font/lettering. So I just downloaded the UWP Magnifying Glass app. It goes through all the download and installation, then when it has the OPEN button I click on it and a window for this does open. However, the window is completely white see below with the exception of a "START" button at the very bottom. So I click on it and then I get an error stating, "Cannot Start Capture.....with a button titled "CLOSE" so I click on it and the error leaves but then I am back with the same white screen with the

Magnifying Glass Lost Functionality

Hello everyone,

I'm at that crossroad where vision has diminished but not enough to warrant glasses. Anyways I just upgraded to Win10, have mapped the magnifying glass to my mouse side button and here are a few features I sorely miss from previous versions of Windows:

- Magnifying glass no longer remembers the size of its view window, I have to expand it every time.

- Magnifying glass steals focus from the underlying window. If I'm in a menu, magnify starts and I lose the menu. Same with filling out forms of any kind, dropdown menus etc...

Magnifying glass icon

Why does the magnifying glass icon keep disappearing from the task bar and how do I get it back (and keep it there)? The last time I searched for magnifier.exe as someone suggested, got it back, now it's gone again. Please, this is driving me crazy.

To add the magnifying glass to the Quick Access Toolbar:-



1.



Towards the top left-hand corner of the WORD window hover the mouse over the icon that looks like a line with a downwards facing arrow under it (Customize Quick Access Toolbar) then click that option to reveal a further list of options from which click on:-



More Commands . . .



A window called:-



Word Options



- should open.

In the window called:-



Word Options



- on the left-hand list of icons



- you’ll see the magnifying glass icon with the word Find to its right



Click:-



Add >>



- so that Find now appears on the right-hand list of icons then click:-



OK

The magnifying glass icon should now have been added to the Quick Access Toolbar.
