    IP helper

    I turned off my Toshiba laptop Windows 7 one night and the next morning I discovered that IP helper became disabled. I started it again but nothing. The troubleshooter couldn't identify the problem. What now?

    WinHttpAutoProxySvc service which failed to start

    Try the following

    Double-click Start and change the Value data to 3 > OK

    Create a System Restore Point beforehand and restart the computer afterwards,

    Changing the Value data to 3 will enable the service as a "Manual" start (4 disables the service)

    The WinHttpAutoProxySvc service is enabled by default.

    Cannot start IP HELPER NEED HELP WinHTTPAutoProxySvc Disabled and Can't Enable it!

    IP Helper won't start automatically, despite being set to.

    Not only does IP Helper not automatically start, it resets the default properties to default thus going back to "manual" after boot, even though I changed it to "automatic". I've been tinkering with this for quite some time, trying numerous troubleshooting
    methods. I am currently able to start IP Helper anytime I please, but the goal is not having to do so every time I want to play an Xbox game or chat on the Xbox App, which needs Teredo to function. But Teredo can't function without IP Helper, so that's why
    I'm bothering with it. Any advice here would be greatly appreciated!
