Windows 10: Cannot turn off NumLock/CapsLocks on screen display

I've searched various threads, questions, and websites in order to turn off a setting that had not been on my PC for over 2 years. It turned on, and refuses to stay off. Amongst all tips and suggestions I've seen, none of which apply to my PC, I cannot change my display options, or display adaptor settings. Turning off sticky key options or anything of the like doesn't work either. Going into ease of access and turning everything off also doesn't work. There are times, after several reboots of my PC and trying to turn off and keep settings off the display will cease, but after a few day

How to disable Capslock and Numlock indicators Windows 10

Again, there is no Advanced Display Settings in my settings. When I go into Display Adapter Properties, there is no Screen Configuration tab in the menu.

Caps Lock icon displaying on the screen can be turned on and off. To know how to remove the icon on the screen, follow the steps below:

• On the Search bar, type Control Panel and then hit Enter.
  
• Click on Display icon, then click on Change display settings on left panel.
• Click on the Advanced settings, then click on On-Screen Display or
  Screen configurations tab. Important Note: If your system doesn't have
  On-Screen Display or Screen configurations tab, you need to install
  Hotkey driver.
• In Properties window, make sure Enable on-screen display is checked. Under
  Indicator settings for NumLock and CapsLock section, look for
  While the numeric lock or caps lock is ON section, choose the Show the indicator for a few seconds option.
• Click Apply, then click OK.

On Screen Caps Lock and Num Lock notifications : Windows 10

Hello everyone,

I have 2 questions please :

1. How do I get the on-screen CapsLock and NumLock notifications to work again ?
Background :
When I first had my laptop in 2018

• an on-screen icon would pop up when I turned on/ off CapsLock. This was part of normal Windows 10
• same thing happened with NumLock.
• then there was some Windows Update, and they disappeared

2. How do I get my CapsLock button to work again ?
Background

• While following a thread on some website about trying to get my on-screen CapsLock/ NumLock to work again, I did something I shouldn't and now my CapsLock button doesn't work.
• I am not a techie. As I disabled my CapsLock button accidentally I feel like an idiot.
