Windows 10: Cannot type letters into pin input leaving me unable to access windows.

Not much to say. Cannot login, first time in 15 years using windows. I swear, worse and worse in terms of functionality. This is unreal, is no one testing this patches, updates your pushing to people’s pc’s?

Unable to Access Windows - PIN and Fingerprint Issues

Hello,

I am experiencing issues accessing my Windows account due to problems with the PIN and fingerprint login. Here are the steps I followed and the issues encountered:

1. I entered an incorrect PIN several times.
   
2. I decided to change the PIN. I successfully logged into my account. and attempted to change the PIN, but an error occurred during the process.
   
3. Now, I am unable to log in using the PIN, and it is blocked for 2 hours.
   
4. I am offered the option to use fingerprint authentication, but it does not work.
   
5. I am not given the option to log in using my password or account credentials, even though I logged in with them when attempting to change the PIN.
   

How can I regain access to Windows?

Pin input doesn't appear during login

Hello there!

I have a PC running the newest version of Wn10. Yesterday I booted it up as every other day, but the input field where I usually type my pin code isn't showing up: there is a screen with a blurred background and three icons on the bottom right corner of
the screen.

I've looked the problem up and I've tried several of the suggested solutions, but with no luck so far. For all of them I need to enter Advanced Boot Options page so I can boot the PC on safe mode, but I'm unable to access that options. I've tried:

• holding down Shift while clicking Restart;
• holding down Shift and Enter and turning on the computer,
• interrupting the boot sequence several times so Windows starts a Diagnostic Boot;

None of this methods have worked for me. The computer just boots and the Pin code input is still missing

Other solutions that I found require a recovery USB, but I can access another PC to burn it.

Do you know what I can do to fix this?

 

Can't type letters in PIN when logging into Windows

Good morning everyone,

my apologies if this question already exists somewhere, I just couldn't find this specific problem.

When I recently tried to log into my computer, I noticed the PIN field wouldn't accept letters anymore. This is weird as typing numbers still works. I eventually managed to log in by using the Windows password option where typing letters and numbers works
perfectly fine. The keyboard can't be the issue cause I'm using it now to type this message and as I said, switching to password option works. The problem literally happened overnight. Unfortunately, I can't remember if Windows was updated before switching
the computer off the previous night.

I then went on to try and change the PIN to all numbers but even that doesn't work as I experience the same problem when being asked for the old PIN. Any suggestions what may cause this issue?
