Windows 10: cannot uninstall Epson Printer

    cannot uninstall Epson Printer


    Following upgrade to 10 I need to uninstall Epson Printer and reinstall. have initiated uninstall but it will not complete the process. Anyone any ideas how to achieve this please?

    It sounds like the full Epson software has not re-installed as you cannot read the state of the printer.

    Unplug the Printer, go to Devices and Printers in Control Panel, right click your Epson printer and choose uninstall, if asked if you want to remove the driver, click yes.

    Then go into Programs and Features in Control Panel and remove any and all Epson software

    Reboot and then reinstall the Epson Software, during the installation, reconnect the printer when asked to plug in the printer

    It happen to me, most users with Windows 10 and Epson dot matrix cannot print today after windows update, cannot get newer driver from Microsoft nor Epson. By uninstalling Windows Update KB4048954 Win10 1703 OS Build 15063.726 the printer works well.
