Cannot uninstall folder because of error 0x80004005

Hello,I reset my pc earlier today and am cleaning up files.I stumbled upon the folder of Halo Masterchief Collection "HaloMCC". I got it from my Gamepass Subscription. I can't uninstall the game on Windows Game Store, however. So I tried deleting the folder, but got the error "0x80004005". I googled it and found a guide relating to my error. But when I tried to go to Properties>Security, it just said "The requested Security Information is not available or not able to be displayed." I'm the only user on this PC and obviously Administrator. Can someone help me?Thanks

    :)

  3. Error 0x80004005

I have looked over many other posts about this, all with the same error code, but with a different problem.

I have a computer thats a few years old, it has an ABIT kn8-sli motherboard, and its running off windows XP.

I was having problem with the hard drive before I gave up on it awhile back, and now I have come back and resolved that problem, but now when I get to the login screen and type in the password it says its in need of an update, then when it asks me if I want to update I click Yes, and then it says it won't work due to error 0x80004005.

The only operating system I have currently is windows 7. Do I need to go buy a new OS or is this recoverable?
