Cannot uninstall or even open Whatsapp desktop. Windows 10 says that I don´t have rights to do it but I'm the admin.

My laptop has only one user account and it´s the administrator, and I´ve installed whatsapp using this account, so I don't understand why I don't have the rights to uninstall it. Could you help me?

I can install / uninstall any other app easily

Nice, no answers what so ever... still can`t open new notifications, still right-click don`t work on taskbar... and still no answer as to why

 

WhatsApp Desktop problem

Hi,

Thank you for posting your concern. It could be that the application is not updated that is why it is not working properly. Please provide answer to the following questions to help you fix this:

• Have you made any changes to your computer before the issue occurs?
• What is the build version of your Windows? To check it, type in winver
  in Search bar, then hit Ok.

In the meantime, please follow the steps provided below:

• Update the application. Type in Store in Search bar, open it, then click on your account. Choose
  Download and Updates and click on Check for Updates.
  
• If the same issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the application. If you are using Windows 10 1607 below, Press
  Windows key + I to open Settings. On
  Settings, choose System > Apps & features. On the right pane, look for
  Whatsapp, then click and Uninstall. After that, go to Store and download the application again.
