Windows 10: Cannot unsync folders

There is a glaring issue with OneDrive that is making my head spin.OneDrive is automatically trying to sync folders that contain large size program files. This quickly filled up my free 5GB of OneDrive space. There is no way to exclude these folders from syncing to OneDrive. There is no way to move or delete these folders on my PC because that would break the programs.Why is there no way to exclude these folders from OneDrive? Is there a working fix for this bug that will not destroy the programs? Why did nobody think of this??

Unsynced OneDrive Folders

Folders I've chosen not to sync to my computer from One Drive will not appear in File Explorer. Combined with the disappearance of the OneDrive App, the only way to access unsynced OneDrive folders is by opening a browser. Am I doing something wrong?

Unfortunately there's no way to select folders within Documents folder to sync or unsync.

Are you actually in OneDrive Settings > Accounts tab > Choose folders? The list of folders you see here is not for choose what to sync FROM your computer to the cloud. Rather, it is the opposition. It is to choose what's already in the cloud to sync TO your local computer. Since this documents > sub folder is already on your computer, you cannot uncheck in this settings.

Your alternative is to unsync the entire Documents folder. Which can be done via Settings > Sync & Backup tab > Manage Backup. Turn off the Documents folder. However, future files you save to Documents folder won't save to OneDrive. You have to manually save those files to the OneDrive folder instead of Documents folder.

Does anyone know how to unsync a folder/briefcase.
