Windows 10: Cannot unsync OneDrive folders in settings

Windows 11.My OneDrive has a number of system folders such as Documents, but also personal data folders. All items are greyed and have a checkmark in it. I also cannot uncheck the personal data folders. I have uninstalled OneDrive and reinstalled it, I have unlinked the avvontand relinkedit. Nothing helps. What can I do?Thank you for advice

Unsynced OneDrive Folders

Folders I've chosen not to sync to my computer from One Drive will not appear in File Explorer. Combined with the disappearance of the OneDrive App, the only way to access unsynced OneDrive folders is by opening a browser. Am I doing something wrong?

Unfortunately there's no way to select folders within Documents folder to sync or unsync.

Are you actually in OneDrive Settings > Accounts tab > Choose folders? The list of folders you see here is not for choose what to sync FROM your computer to the cloud. Rather, it is the opposition. It is to choose what's already in the cloud to sync TO your local computer. Since this documents > sub folder is already on your computer, you cannot uncheck in this settings.

Your alternative is to unsync the entire Documents folder. Which can be done via Settings > Sync & Backup tab > Manage Backup. Turn off the Documents folder. However, future files you save to Documents folder won't save to OneDrive. You have to manually save those files to the OneDrive folder instead of Documents folder.

 

UNsync OneDrive

I just got a Windows 10 Pro Dell XPS. In Windows Explorer, when contents of This PC are displayed, what are the 'pushpins' next to Desktop, Downloads, Documents, etc (in the left pane)?


When I transferred all my files to the Documents folder, OneDrive started to upload them. I do NOT want them all uploaded to OneDrive. I closed OneDrive, ended up in Settings somewhere and unsynced it. It continues to upload all my files when I turn the pc on again. This is a major problem here
