    Cannot update date of birth on my family sharing account.


    I have a Gmail account that is used as an organiser to a Microsoft family account. For some reason, this account is set as a minor and I need to change the date of birth on this account which I am not able to. This Gmail account is linked to my skype account. My details on my skype account are correct and shows as an organizer with my Gmail as a member. I am not able to change the date of birth on my Gmail account and neither am I able to remove this account from my skype family account. I have already contacted chat support and done all the basic steps to update date of birth with no luck. Pl

    Correcting incorrect date of birth

    Dear NietVan2013,In this case I suggest you try the following;

    Sign in with your "child" Windows account;

    Go to link:account.microsoft.com and log in with your "child" name;

    Click Your Information;

    Click Edit Profile Information;

    Try changing the date of birth on the account;

    If you manage to change the date of birth, log in with the adult account;

    Go to: family.microsoft.com

    Remove your family group account;

    Hi Alex,

    To change the date of birth on your Microsoft Account, you can follow the steps below:

    • Sign in to
      Your info       on the Microsoft account website.
    • Click Edit your personal info.
    • Select the correct date of birth, and then select Save.

    If the birth date on a Microsoft account says that it belongs to a child, there are different steps to take in regions that regulate what children can do online. You can check this
