    Let me recap so far:
    sfc /scannow completed with "no integrity violations found"
    CHKDSK completed without error
    Secure Boot is off
    Update fails at 100%

    SSD has GPT layout?
    Was this system originally upgraded from W7/W8?

    It appears to me that Windows is failing on the recovery step - IOW, it fails to make the "go-back".

    Is your data backed up? Do you have all install media and keys for paid programs? Have you made a Macrium image, so the system can be returned to its current state, while we try to resolve this?

    Please post a screenshot of your disk layout. Mike is right - something is wrong with it.

    This system has a gpt layout, this was an installation upgraded from 8.1 back before 10 was released with the TechnicalPreview, I have all the keys and and no backup made using macrium

    I would unplug everything except your C: Drive ....also nothing in your DVD drive .....then try installing your windows again.
    Reboot after unplugging all your drives, and just have your Windows drive only one connected.

    Okay, I see Disk 0, 1, 2 and 4 (plus an optical drive), but no Disk 3?

    What resides on each disk?

    Do you have your user libraries pointed to Disk2 ( D )?

    Do you have programs installed to Disk2 ( D )?

    Have you ever, in the history of this machine, used EASEUS Partition Manager on it?
