    Cannot use any VMware machines but cannot turn off Credential Guard to do so


    I'm using Win10 18363.535 build, which should have already included the KB3213522 update. That update was supposed to fix an issue related to VBS. In turn, I know I have to disable Isolated User Mode in order to disable Credential Guard, but even that doesn't appear in the list of Windows features to turn on or off. I must be missing something here.

    Turn off Credential Guard or Device Guard

    Whenever I try to run a vm in vmware,it gives this error:

    VMware Workstation and Device/Credential Guard are not compatible. VMware Workstation can be run after disabling Device/Credential Guard.

    Any help?

    VMWare is not letting me run Virtual Machines due to "VMWare and Device/Credential guard are not compatible" error message.

    Hello.

    Recently after an update from Microsoft, I went onto my computer to run a Virtual Machine on VMWare workstation Pro 15. But when I went to run it, it read this message.:

    "VMWare Workstation and Device/Credential Guard are not compatible. VMWare Workstation can be run after disabling Device/Credential Guard. Please visit VMware Knowledge Base for more details."

    I haven't been able to run a Virtual Machine ever since and it is starting to annoy me, since all the other online solution's don't work.

    Can somebody help??

    VMware Workstation can be run after disabling Device/Credential Guard

    Windows Sandbox cannot be enabled on Windows 10 Home. The workaround you most likely used, does not even work, and has never actually worked. However, when you attempted to enable Windows Sandbox, it also enabled Credential Guard and Device Guard.

    The first thing you need to backup any critical files you cannot live without. Depending on the state of your system you might decide it's time to simply reinstall Windows 10 Home. An alternative is to upgrade to Windows 10 Professional so you can Enable Windows Sandbox then disable it properly. The following suggestion was written against an assumption that Windows Sandbox was properly enabled and not left in a broken state due to a workaround solution on Windows 10 Home.
