  1. Cannot use GoDaddy created account for Win 11 sign in

I am setting up a PC with an Admin account and a user account. The Admin account had a Microsoft account login.microsoft.com account created on login.microsoft.com before GoDaddy switched to O365 for e-mail so it works fine. I am trying to add a second sign in to the win 11 PC using: Setting / Accounts / Other Users / Add other user. When I enter the e-mail that GoDaddy created the response is:How will this person sign in?Enter the e-mail address or phone number of the person you want to add. If they use Windows, Office, Outlook.com, OneDrive, Skype, or Xbox, enter the email or phone nu

    Hello Rolland Lucas

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I am aware of the present situation is that you have encountered some issues of using your Godaddy account with Windows 11 sign-in. Before finding the reason of this issue, could you please describe this scenario in detail?

    • "a backup scheduler application that requires windows password", Is this a third party backup tool?
    • In the meantime, are there two current Microsoft accounts? One of them is a personalised Godaddy personalised email address, if not, see the following instructions:
    • If your Microsoft 365 account via Godaddy exist as a personalised email address, The following support article indicates that problems may be encountered if a personalised email address is logged into Microsoft services.

Get a personalized email address in Microsoft 365 - Microsoft Support

In addition, for computers that can currently only be accessed via PIN code, if you need to get the option to login with password for windows 11. Please check these settings by pressing Windows -> Click Settings -> Account -> Sign-in options -> uncheck the options in red box. -> As shown below:

How do I get windows 8 mail to connect with my godaddy email....there is no option for a POP server...needed for my godaddy account to link

    Hello Valerie,

To set up Windows Live Mail with your email, you need to know your POP or IMAP Email Server Settings and ports. You may follow these steps to setup your email account in Windows 8 mail:

    1. Open Windows 8 Mail by clicking on the Mail tile in the Start menu.
    2. Hover the mouse cursor in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
    3. Select Settings.
    4. Select Accounts, and then click Add an account and configure the server and port settings.

We’d also like to know if this is the first time that you’re trying to set up your GoDaddy email in Windows 8 mail? We suggest you to get in touch with them to provide you the appropriate server and port settings.

We’ll keep an eye out on your response.
