Windows 10: Cannot use Insider program in VirtualBox Machine

When one problem gets solved, another problem arises.I just installed Windows 11 after many struggles and now i cannot use the insider programit says that my pc does not have the minimum requirements to run insider programwhat should i do?

The system finds VirtualBox and suggests to uninstall it manually, to run the update, but I am unable to find any app/program containing it. It's not shown in the Uninstall or Change the Program list. I do not have any Oracle installed on my PC either.

Windows 10 Insider Preview won't update -- VirtualBox?

This started about 3 updates of Windows 10 Insider Preview. I try to update and it downloads and tried to install. Always gets to 35% and it complains about Virtual Box. It suggests to manually uninstall. I don't even remember of having VirtualBox on this
machine, but OK. I did an uninstall and even used one of the uninstall programs to try to remove traces. FINALLY, I even manually went through with RegEdit and removed every single mention of VirtualBox. STILL no joy. Won't let me install the latest Insider
Previews. Anybody else experience? Anybody have a solution? Currently "stuck" on Build 20201.rs_prelease.200822-1922. Since then, with every newest Build, exact same problem. HELP!

 

Installing a Virtual Machine in Windows 10

Step #1 is to decide which virtual machine software you wish to install.

The three most popular choices are:

• VirtualBox (from Oracle)
• VMWare Workstation Player (from VMWare); and
• Hyper-V (from Microsoft)

Once you've made your choice you can find detailed, illustrated instructions for installing each one on the internet.

As a personal suggestion: You might find it easier to use either VirtualBox or VMWare Workstation Player. Hyper-V is more complicated to setup.

Between VirtualBox and VMWare, I think you'll find VirtualBox more user-friendly, and it has the advantage of allowing you to create checkpoints - backups of your virtual machine - whereas to do that in VMWare you'll need to upgrade to their (expensive!)
paid version.
