    Cannot use Microsoft Pinyin

I was able to install Classical Chinese Taiwan and it was fine, but Pinyin Chinese PRC caused the language bar to disappear. How can I resolve this? I am using Windows 10 Pro.I have tried uninstalling Microsoft Pinyin, restarting, installing, restarting, but it still does not work. When I uninstalled Pinyin and kept Classical Chinese and another language, French, the language bar came back and I was able to toggle between these languages.

    :)

Keyboard input for pinyin Traditional Chinese

Whoever comes by here with the same problem, please go here (https://windowsphone.uservoice.com/...tions/2283587-traditional-chinese-with-pinyin)
and give your votes to this problem.

There are many more similar suggestions, which come (as of today) to a combined value of 868 votes. Is there any possibility to have the redundant suggestions combined into one?

Here is a list of the suggestions I found on the uservoice site:

  3. Could not find a Chinese input named: MS Shuangpin( 双拼) on Win10. Only MS Wubi (五笔)& MS Pinyin(拼音)available, where can i get it?

    Hello Iei,

Thank you for posting your concern in Microsoft Community and welcome to the Windows 10 Family.

We understand the inconvenience caused to you. Let me assist you with further information from here.

Shuangpin can be defined as 'two letter pinyin' or 'double pinyin', i.e. to reduce the amount of keystrokes of the pinyin input method. I suggest you to follow the below steps for Shuangpin layout.

    • Open Settings and choose Region and Language and add Chinese (Simplified) as a language.
    • After selecting the desired language input in the previous step and click on Options under the Simplified Chinese Input Method .
    • In the following page select Options under Microsoft Pinyin
      Input Method Editor.
    • Choose "Microsoft Double Pin style" under Choose Pinyin style. Also, set the toggler to off for
      Reading auto correction.
    • Exit the windows and check with the results.

Hope the above information is helpful. If you need further assistance, we would be happy to assist you further.

    Thank you.

How to force Microsoft Pinyin to lock Chinese input mode?

This has been a problem for a long, long time. Like this: How to make the
Microsoft Pinyin really default to Chinese?!

    I have two keyboard:

    Cannot use Microsoft Pinyin cd4ce09f-7f81-4c9f-955c-c82f55b001f2?upload=true.png

I have completed the following setup:

    1. Microsoft Pinyin Settings: General->Default mode->Choose IME default mode: Chinese

I can reproduce the BUG by following these steps:

    1. Open Visual Studio Code, and open a english document, switch to Microsoft Pinyin and chinese mode:
      Cannot use Microsoft Pinyin 65e30d50-1513-44f6-b207-a24f62c116c8?upload=true.png
    2. Open Chrome or any other application, switch to Microsoft Pinyin and chinese:
      Cannot use Microsoft Pinyin 5c1153be-80b4-4dfa-94d4-e1b00fcc7b9d?upload=true.png
    3. In Chrome window, switch keyboard to US keyboard:
      Cannot use Microsoft Pinyin e6a4535e-d13b-4fe8-b235-f84e780c01d8?upload=true.png
    4. Then, switch keyboard again, to Microsoft Pinyin:
      Cannot use Microsoft Pinyin 065e7a09-669a-42ab-9169-0bf5a4d47860?upload=true.png
    5. So far, can't see any problems, chrome's window remembers the Microsoft Pinyin last pattern(Chinese). But now, switching to the step 1 window(Visual Studio Code):
      Cannot use Microsoft Pinyin d71eef07-df22-4608-b621-63fab323d067?upload=true.png
      ,
the input mode changed to English mode!
I don't think it's a feature, because the problem only occurs when switching keyboards in non-vscode windows! If you switching keyboards in vscode window, you'll notice that the input mode in the vscode window is still Chinese.

It's very annoying because in my workflow it often happens that every few minutes the Chinese I'm trying to type doesn't appear! Microsoft switched my input mode from Chinese to English without permission!
