    Hello there,I installed a game from a platform called Steam and I tried to launch but I am facing issues with this game, the other games that I do have are working normally. From what I read from the internet / Microsoft it is based on giving permission from properties > Security and change the permission to "Fully control". I also tried to Un-tick the "Read Only" on the folder's properties, but I am still facing the same issue. I also tried to change the location of the folder to my other disk but didn't help at all. My specs are: Windows 11RTX 3060AMD ryzen 7 3700x16 GB ramAll of the ga

    One drive can not't write game folder

    When I run a game on my computer, it gives me a very annoying error

    it says: cannot write in game folder. you don't have write permission. the game does not have permission to write in directory

    i tried searching on google but the error comes from one drive

    pls help me

    Windows Defender Blocks Game from writing to User file.

    After the most recent upgrade to Windows 10, Defender blocks the game CNC3 from writing to the user file. CNC3 wants to store data there as to game state and levels. When I disable Defender the game works fine. I tried a few changes in permissions
    but apparently they did not work. CNC3 has been working for over a year on this machine with Windows 10.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

    Unable to remove write protection from folders.

    Hi EliaHanin,

    Modifying changes in permissions with folders and files requires you being logged in to your administrator account to ensure it will be saved. To help you remove the write protection from folders, follow the steps below:

    • Type File Explorer on the search bar then click on the folder you need to change permissions to.
    • On the menu, click on Share > Advanced security
      > double click on your administrator user profile> Edit >
      Show Advanced permissions      .
    • Make sure that the category under Type: is set to allow and on
      Applies to: set to This folder, subfolders and files.
    • Under advanced permissions, remove the check on Write attributes and
      Write extended attributes. You can also remove the check of the choices you prefer.
    • Click on OK then restart your PC.

    Let us know how it goes.
