Windows 10: Canon IR1023N Scanner is not recognized appears in other devices as unknown with E0000228

I had troubles with windows and this printer/scanner for many years. Today I installed W10 from scratch in a new CPU and tried to connect via USB this printer. Whit the printer I've no problem but the scanner isn't detected.I used the UFRII v15 driver since is the last driver that includes 1023N series driver the PLC doesn't even print. I installed this driver several times but every time, the printer works but the scanner isn't recognized.At last it throws this message "The scanner driver for this device, or the driver for Canon USB devices, is not installed." I followed some solutions like

Can't connect a Canon LIDE 210 Scanner

GM ! I have a new Lenovo desktop computer, and it recognizes my HP Envy Photo 7155 printer, and it prints fine.

The problem is it does not see or recognize my Canon Scanner. It is an older scanner, and it is connected by USB. I had no problem scanning or copying, etc. with the Canon scanner with the old computer running Windows 7. Any suggestions ? Thank You !

We understand your concern as you are unable to use the scanning option after the Windows Update. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Windows 10 Version and Build installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• What is the exact model number of the Cannon Scanner?
  
• What is the KB number of the Windows Update installed prior to this issue?
  
• What is the error you are getting, while scanning?
  

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to update the scan driver and check.

1. Press Windows + X keyand selectDevice Manager
   from the context menu.
   
2. Spot and expand the “Imaging devices”.
   
3. Right click on the Scanner driver and select
   “Uninstall”
   
4. Check the box beside “Delete the driver software for this device”
   
5. Restart the PC and then install the driver from Canon website
   

If the issue persists, then we would suggest you to run Canon’s MF Toolbox in compatibility mode.

1. Firstly you need to uninstall the Canon MF Toolbox V 4.9.11mf18 from the PC
   
2. Then download the Canon MF Toolbox from the
   Canon website.
   
3. Enter your scanner’s model and follow the on-screen instructions to download the utility. Once downloaded, then install the application.
   
4. Now run the application and use it to send scanning requests to your scanner.

Windows 10 recognizes my printer+scanner only as a printer.

Windows (10) does not appear to recognize my printer+scanner combo (Canon MP240) as a scanner. I have used it without issue as a printer, but when I try to scan (using the Windows Scan app, as suggested), the screen only shows "To get started, connect
a scanner."

I have tried downloading a driver from the Canon website, but there isn't one for this printer.
