Windows 10: Canon MF4500 scanner with w 10

I am using a Canon 4500 MF printer scanner and using Canon MF Toolbox V 4.9.11mf18. However since the Windows 10 update on March 5, i cannot use the scanner function on the, while the print function is still working. The scann function worked fine before this update. What has changed in W 10 to disable the scanner function?

Scanner just hangs when I click on scanners. Worked fine before I did the update. Now doesn't move. Says connecting forever. Restarted but same issue.

I can print but can not scan.

Like the previous poster suggested, unplug the USB cable from the printer and turn off the printer.
Start the installation of the drivers, watch the install windows VERY CAREFULLY as there will be instructions as to when you need to plug the USB cable into the printer and turn the printer on.
I ran into this exact scenario when I installed my printer after a Windows 10 Pro install (1909).
The printer ran fine but when I tried to use the scanner, no dice...
Printer is Canon MG6820.

The only other thing I can suggest if that doesn't work is to turn your firewall off, turn off any anti-virus software, and then do the driver installation again following the install windows VERY CAREFULLY.
I had to do that step on a Windows 7 Pro PC in order for the scanner to work.

canon scanner 8800f driver under windows 10

Can anyone suggest where I can find a driver to run my canon scanner 8800f under windows 10 please?

Canon have not released a Windows 10 version for this model in an effort to make people buy a new scanner.
