    We realize the inconvenience you have experienced.

    From the description, I suspect that the problem lies with the incompatible printer drivers. For Canon PIXMA MX300 printer drivers on official website, I can see this statement "Canon will not issue drivers for this model to support the Windows 10
    operating system. The Windows 7 or Windows 8 drivers should function in the Windows 10 environment with some limitations which are currently unknown to Canon    ".

    So, I suggest you to go on this link
    and try to download Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 drivers for your device and then try to install them to see if it works.
