Windows 10: Canon MX310 Drivers

I got a used MX310 canon printer and canon says win 10 can't load drivers is there a way to find drivers to operate this printer? Canon said on website Win 7 would run it any ideas?

Canon MX310 printer

I have a Canon MX310. Since I upgraded to Windows 10, I have not been able to print from my PC. I have not found any avaiable drivers for this model on Canon's website. Does anyone have a suggestion?

 

Windows 10 and Canon MX310 scanning issues.

Has anyone figured out how to make a Canon MX310 printer/scanner/fax work with Windows 10. I know it's an old printer, but it still works great and I would sure like to be able to scan documents in with it. The printer works fine, it just won't scan, and
Canon isn't (apparently) going to support it. I had an IT guy tell me that there should be some general use scanning driver I should be able to downnload, but I couldn't find it on the Canon website. I tried the Microsoft Scan app and it didn't work either.

Any help whatsoever will be better than I am at this point! Thanks for reading!

To better assist you, do let us know if you receive any error message when you give the print command.

According to Canon's website, the printer is not compatible with Windows 10. This could be the reason why you are unable to print.

However, I would suggest you to try the methods below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Uninstall Printer Driver

Try uninstalling the printer driver, and then restart your computer and have Windows automatically install the latest driver.

1. Press Windows key + R to open the run command.

2. Type devmgmt.msc and press enter.

3. Uninstall the printer driver and restart the computer.

Method 2: Install driver in compatibility mode

Download the latest available driver from Canon's website and install in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

After you have downloaded the driver:

1. Right-click on the setup file of the driver and select "Properties".

2. Select "Compatibility" Tab.

3. Place a check mark next to "Run this program in Compatibility mode" and select Windows 8
from the drop down list.

4. Let the driver install and then check the functionality
