Windows 10: Canon Pixma MG5422 all in one will not function with new PC. Running Windows 10 on both, I...

I recently upgraded from a 2012 Gateway desktop to a refurbished 2017 Dell Optiplex. Both run Windows 10, however my Canon Pixma MG5422 all in one device will not print on newer desktop. I've downloaded updated Canon drivers but continue to get printing error message. I have followed the Canon instructions in connecting but Dell will not communicate with printer. Any suggestions?

I understand your concern about accessing Canon Pixma printer on Windows 10.

Do let us know the following to assist you better:

• What exactly do you mean by Offline and cannot reconnect?
• Have you installed all the drivers for printer after upgrading to Windows 10?
• Is printer being detected on your computer?
• How have you connected the printer to your device?

I suggest you to try the below as a workaround and check if it helps.

Step 1: Try to install the latest drivers for the printer from the manufacturer's website.

Refer: Drivers for Canon Pixma MG6620

Step 2: If the device is not detected on your computer try to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device
  options from the list.
• Click Next to run the Hardware and Device
  Troubleshooter.

Canon Pixma MG5250

My Canon Pixma MG5250 wont print CD covers since I updated to Windows 10.

I can't even install new drivers now as my computer says it can't detect the printer on the network yet it prints just fine. Any suggestions?

 

Canon Pixma 3100 lost scanfunction

After I installed Windows 10 my Canon Pixma 3100 lost his scan function. A terrible disadvantage. Unfortunately I can't turn back to Windows 7 no more and buying an other scanner is a stupid suggestion.

Who has a better one?
