Windows 10: Canon Printer will only print from manual tray after Microsoft updates

When I did the most recent Microsoft H2 update about two months ago?, my HP computer no longer recognized my HPScanJet Pro and my Canon Imageclass MF4ff dw printer would always default to the manual tray to print from. I uninstalled the update and they started working again. Then the update was automatically installed again. Same problem. Uninstalled it again. Scanner stopped being recognized. Printer worked properly. Now the printer is defaulting to the manual tray again. I have been to every setting for my printer. They all say 'tray 1' yet it always goes to tray 2. I have another HP compu

Queued Canon Printer Update fails install-Do not have Canon Printer

HELLO V. Stanciu, UNFORTUNATELY YUR SUGGESTION DID'T WORK FOR ME; MY WIN 11 WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO REMOVE ANY OF THE MICROSOFT PRINTERS LISTED, CLAIMING THEY WERE IN USE. I'M NOT TRYING TO PRINT ANYTHING SO HOW COULD THEY BE IN USE. I WAS ABLE TO REMMOVE THE CANON PRINTER DRIVER, BUT I HAD AN OPTION TO DELETE JUST THE CANON PRINTER OR BOTH THE CANON PRINTER & THE PRINTER PACKAGES. SINCE YOU DIDN'T SPECIFY WHICH, I JUST REMOVED THE PRINTER AND RESTARTED COMPUTER, WENT BACK TO THE UPDATE SETION AND IT WAS STILL THERE...AARRRGGGHHH; SHOULD I HAVE INCLUDED THE PACKAGE?

 

New Canon G4210 Printer/Fax Wont Print Since Recent Update(s)

You need a Landline phone line to send or receive a FAX. Are you trying to send a FAX? If you are just printing a document, make sure you are choosing the Canon Printer and not the Canon FAX printer or .PDF printer. Go to Settings/Devices/Printers and Scanners Is the Canon Printer listed here? Left click it and choose Manage and Print a Test Page. You can also Open Print Que to see what is Printing., if there are any print jobs that have failed, you can cancel the documents.

 

Canon printer won't print

Open Start > Settings > Update & security > Troubleshoot

Scroll down

Click Printer

Click Run the Troubleshooter

When complete, restart to see if the problem is resolved.

If that does not work...

Please try the steps recommended below to uninstall printer software

Press Windows key + X, click Apps & Features or Programs and Features

Select your Canon printer.

Select Uninstall.

Press Windows key + R, type control, hit Enter

Open Devices and Printers.

In the Devices and Printers window look for your Canon Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”

Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.

Type printui.exe /s and click OK.

Click on Drivers tab.

Look for Canon Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.

Select OK.

Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

Close Devices and Printers.

Proceed to reinstall the driver.
