    Canon TR8520 will not install


    My printer that I've used for years worked just fine. I went to sleep and woke up to no printer. I have the original install disk, tried it, unsuccessful. I downloaded two variations directly from the Canon website. One is System32.exe. The other, I'm positive I'm going to get this wrong, System32x64.exe.Now I'm going to cry. I opened my download folder - it's nearly empty.No matter which install I tried they were unsuccessful.I tried upgrading to Windows 11 and now there's TrustedInstaller ? who has blocked me for full control. System Restore was a joke. I need to restore it to two weeks ag

    Canon Pixma MP620 drivers don't seem to exist yet.


    They will walk you thru every step to fix your problem, their pretty good fixing problems with windows 10 and their printers. Good luck Wayne!!

    Canon PIXMA MX472 All-in-One - Scanner did not install

    Like the previous poster suggested, unplug the USB cable from the printer and turn off the printer.
    Start the installation of the drivers, watch the install windows VERY CAREFULLY as there will be instructions as to when you need to plug the USB cable into the printer and turn the printer on.
    I ran into this exact scenario when I installed my printer after a Windows 10 Pro install (1909).
    The printer ran fine but when I tried to use the scanner, no dice...
    Printer is Canon MG6820.

    The only other thing I can suggest if that doesn't work is to turn your firewall off, turn off any anti-virus software, and then do the driver installation again following the install windows VERY CAREFULLY.
    I had to do that step on a Windows 7 Pro PC in order for the scanner to work.

    Canon TR8520 will not install

    Canon - Printers - Canon MG5500 series Printer - Error 0x80240017

    GaryRouth's suggestion didn't work for me. But I took his lead and used a slightly different process that eventually worked.

    I uninstalled the Canon software in "Programs and Features",

    rebooted my machine,

    then went to Canon's site and downloaded the full package from Canon for my printer,

    extracted the package,

    went to the extracted files and opened the DrvSetup folder,

    ran the DELDRV64.exe utility to cleanup the old software,

    then ran the Setup64.exe to install the Canon software.

    Since I've followed these steps, the printer works and the Windows Update for the printer isn't showing up.
