Windows 10: Cant able to restore .bak file in the SQL Server

restore DB on SQL srver 208

Me and my brother trying to setup a a game server in our PC, but we can't restore the .bak files. This is Localhost, and another question, what is the best sql 2000 or 2008? we only know basics on configuring server.

I recently upgraded to Windows 10. Prior to the upgrade, I had Windows 8. Sometimes the Microsoft SQL Server would stop running and I was able to find find the SQL server tools and start it running again. I cannot find the tool on Windows 10 and am having
issues with opening my CRM. Any suggestions?
