Windows 10: Can’t access Bluetooth setting/ When I click on Bluetooth in settings the settings page closes.

Hello to who it may concern.I am using an Acer Nitro 5 laptop with windows 11 and am having a problem with my Bluetooth settings. For whatever reason when I want to try and check my Bluetooth settings in the settings app it instantly closes the settings page. I have tried various methods to try and access my Bluetooth settings page but this has been to no avail. Please help me.Kind regards Benjamin Murphy

Lost Bluetooth access

Hi Everybody,

Version 21H1 (OS build 19043.2364)

I've can not access a brand new bluetooth headset, or any other bluetooth device it seems.

• Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Bluetooth
  Will Reinstall "Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377, but also report that Bluetooth radio status is not fixed.

• Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices
  Does not offer a Bluetooth "ON/OFF" toggle switch
  Does not offer any other options to select other bluetooth devices

• Device Manager:
  Bluetooth > Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Bluetooth
  Device Status: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
  This is the only listed driver under bluetooth

What can I do to resolve this?

Can't get Bluetooth working...

If your sure that its recognised properly then have a look on this links page http://www.holtmann.org/linux/bluetooth/

The only thing i can think of to fix if it isnt recognised by linux is the following:

Firstly you have to find out what chipset your bluetooth dongle uses.
Secondly i think your going to have to basically compile your own kernel and include the module for the chipset that your bluetooth dongle uses.
Thirdly depending on if you add it to the kernel or as like built in you will have to add the name of the module to a config file which is used when you boot linux.

If the kernel doesnt have support for your bluetooth dongle then you can either try and find a different copy of the kernel which does or try and find the driver for it.

To recompile your own kernel however requires a whole guide itself , plus different linux distro's will have different kernels with different options and slightly different config files.

Only thing i can suggest is going to www.gentoo.org and reading through their handbook, its basically step by step setting up linux manually, in the handbook there is a page or two on recompiling your kernel for your particular configuration.

 

Bluetooth Speaker No Settings Available.

Hello, So I recently purchased a Bluetooth LED Light Bulb Speaker...(it looked interesting *shrugs*)
The sound is decent for what it is, I just have one problem. If I'm watching a video on YouTube for example and it's someone talking. When they stop talking and the begin to talk again there is a popping sound and a few milliseconds are cut off...almost as if the speakers went to power saving mode while no audio is playing. This happens if there is a couple seconds of no talking to one minute of no talking it doesn't matter. The Bluetooth LED Bulb itself has no settings I can mess with and I've searched threw settings within Windows 10. The Power Management for the Bluetooth itself is set to not go to sleep which I understand this is a different setting than the actual speaker. So I'm at a loss and don't know what to do.

Any Suggestions?
