Windows 10: Can’t access files sent to me via GroupMe

Title says all. My coworkers are sending me pdfs, excel sheets, and other files on GroupMe, but I get a blank black screen, sometimes with a loading symbol and other times without. It is perpetually loading, but I have not been able to open nor download any of these files. I feel stuck!

Lost access to my GroupMe account groups

Hi -

I have had a GroupMe account associated with my phone number for several years. Upon trying to open an attachment sent is a GroupMe chat, it opened up a browser and prompted me for username and password. I never had a password with my GroupMe account since I set it up in the iPhone app. So I then went to a PC and tried to associate an email address with my account, and it seemed to have started a new account. Is there any way I can regain access to my GroupMe account associated with my phone number? I have lost all access to the groups I was in, and need them to correspond with my kids' little teams they are on.

To verify your number if you didn't receive a PIN:

1. Keep the GroupMe app on the PIN screen. If you go through the registration process again, it will generate a new PIN, which could make things confusing.
   
2. Contact support and let us know you’re having trouble receiving your PIN. Make sure to include your phone number.
