Windows 10: Can't access the Intel Graphics control panel after latest Microsoft update - Dell Inspiron...

Hello.

I have aDell Inspiron 7559 laptop and Windows updated to KB4576478 this morning.

Since the update, I have not been able to access the Intel Graphics Control Panel by any means. Clicking on the button I have on my taskbar which worked until the update results in an hour glass popping up a couple of times, but that's it. Trying to access it from the start menu yields the same results. Right clicking on the desktop doesn't work because for some reason, there is no option for it any longer.

I have tried uninstalling, and reinstalling the drivers through device manager, restarting after each step, but it doesn't seem to have helped. I have checked in task manager to make sure that it wasn't already somehow running and it wasn't.

I'm able to access my nVidia control panel just fine.

One weird thing I did notice is that since the update, I've had to restart Windows Explorer via the task manager several times since the update because some buttons, including start and search, on my task bar stop working. Don't know if this is related but it might be.

Steps to reproduce:

Open Intel Graphics Control Panel

Set Color saturation to -15

Apply, OK, Close

Open Windows Night Light

Turn On

Turn Off

Close

Open Intel Graphics Control Panel

Color saturation is back to 0

Intel® Graphics Control Panel in DCH driver

Hi,

After I updated Windows 10 with 1809 version I lost access to Intel® Graphics Control Panel where I could disable auto screen brightness.

I found out that version brings so called "DCH" drivers for Intel and the Control Panel was replaced with this app

However, I can not launch it says "Intel Graphics Card is not available. Check the driver status and then launch the application."

I found that DCH driver that is installed together with 1809 is missing COM component that contains Strings for localization.

I asked MSI what I should do and they blamed Intel and Microsoft. I asked Intel and they blame Microsoft now. Unfortunately, problem doesn't get solved.

Was anybody able to fix this issue with Intel® Graphics Control Panel ?

Intel graphics control panel question: I have a Lenovo Thinkpad R500 running Windows 10, with Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1) graphics. I can't bring up the Intel graphics control panel. I have the impression
it's not available because the age of the Thinkpad makes Windows 10 drivers not available. Any answers?
