    Cant access to my quarantine file


    Hello i cant access to my quarantine file, i know i got a 32go file inside because i see it in my spacesniffer view first capture i tried to delete the file from there but not possible, i tried to scan with my cmd for see what inside, i found but when i try to delete, not possible, i tried from cmd in winRE, not possible, im going crazy over this please help me, how can i get the access to this file,can you just explain me how can i get the permission to get in this file?     Where to restore quarantined items in Windows 10 creator update?

    Hi,

    As per the description of the issue, you would like to know how to restore files that has been quarantined by Windows Defender. For us to assist you, here's a simple guide on how to see where the quarantined files are located:

    • Open Windows Defender.
    • Go to History tab.
    • In the History tab, check for Quarantined items.
    • Place a check on the file that you want to restore, this should enable
      Allow item      .
    • Press Allow item, this should bring the file back to the original location.

    To check where the files are located, kindly follow the steps listed below:

    • Open Windows Defender.
    • Go to History tab.
    • In the History tab, check for Quarantined items.
    • Click on view details.
    • In the description, it will show you the file path where it is located.

    Can I configure windows defender to never quarantine files

    Hello,


    I am using w10 1903 x64 - I was wondering if there is a way without setting up exclusions to configure Windows defender to never quarantine any file and only block access and just prompt the user how to proceed?

    I am all for active scanning but not automatic quarantine actions.



    Also just wanted to share this nugget of info – if you want to see the list of files that have been quarantined via cli run:

    Cant access to my quarantine file

    Windows Defender is missing Restore Button for Quarantined Threats

    It wasn't listed under "Quarantined Threats", but was listed in "See full history" as quarantined. It has been about 2 hours
    and now it is listed under "Quarantined Threats" which now shows the Restore or Delete options. Something must be causing
    a delay in listing the quarantined file under "Quarantined Threats" after they have been found and quarantined by Defender.
