  1. Can't access UAC because "requires elevation" after disabling lockscreen password

I recently tried to remove the need to use my fingerprint to login (at the lockscreen, after starting my computer). But now I have the issue, that I can't even run any application that is protected by UAC:

Whatever I do (trying to run a program as admin, resetting the pc, changing settings) I end up at this screen which recognizes my fingerprint, but instead of proceeding, just restarts the request.

I'm not a beginner but this issue really makes me feel like I know nothing about windows (getting desperate) :/

  2. UAC disable still asks for elevation using runas in cmd

    Greetings,

I've run into a problem in Windows 10 and hope that someone can help me. In previous windows (Vista / 7 / 8 / 8.1) this worked without a problem:

With UAC disabled i could run the following command in CMD:

    c:\windows\system32\runas.exe /savecred /user:domain\userwithadminrights
    c:\programname.exe

In windows 10 with UAC disabled it still asks for elevation! "The requested operation needs elevation"

If i disable UAC with regedit the program i want opens without a problem, but edge browser and other apps wont work!

How can i run a program that needs elevation in a "advanced user" account without the need for admin intervention?

    Best regards,

How to disable UAC for downloading only

    Hi,

I realized your concern and will assist you to resolve the issue.

Let me confirm that User Account Control (UAC) notifies you before changes are made to your PC that require administrator-level permission. These types of changes can affect the security of your computer
or can affect settings for other people that use the computer. You can see this message appearing continuously asking for administrator password, while accessing app or application, then it indicates that existing User Profile doesn't have required Administrator
    Privileges to run.

To disable UAC you need to use admin account.

    Follow the steps below.

    • Type "UAC" or "Change User Account Control" in the search field in the start menu.

    • Click Change User Account Control settings in the search results.

    • To turn UAC off, drag the slider down to Never notify, and click
      OK.

    • You may be prompted to confirm your selection or enter an administrator password.

Reboot your computer for the change to take effect.

Your reply is very important for us to ensure a proper resolution. Please get back to us with the above information in order to assist you accordingly.

    Thanks and regards.

Can't access UAC because "requires elevation" after disabling lockscreen password

    Administrator forgot password, disable UAC

This is a personal PC (desktop) used by multiple users. One of them happens to be the administrator, the account no one has access to. The administrator forgot their password and is unable to reset or remember it.

I am unable to perform many executive functions because UAC asks for the administrator's password. I need to disable UAC on a personal computer without the administrator password.
