Windows 10: Can't Access Windows With PIN Anymore

Updated Windows 10 yesterday with the latest Cumulative Update. After the update was finished, I tried entering my PIN and was not able to do so. This often happens when I do a major Cumulative Update. However, this time after I try to reset my PIN, I get an error saying Not Connected to the Internet, which I clearly am. If I keep hitting Retry, I will get the same error. If I hit Cancel, it will bypass setting up a new PIN altogether and go to my desktop.I now cannot setup a new PIN to access Windows 10. I have to keep going through setting up a new PIN then getting the same error messa

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”

File Explorer Quick Access trouble.. Cannot pin items

File Explorer is behaving weird - I cannot pin items to Quick Access. When I pin items they won't appear to QA. Also when dragging items to QA nothing happens and there's a small icon indicating that is not possible.

I did some "tweaks" with Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4.5 but I haven't found a setting there that could of made QA to not function.

I did some steps as remedy that I found with Google but those didn't help.

Any suggestions?

I suggest you to follow the methods mentioned below to fix this issue.

Method 1

Unpin and Pin the Quick access feature

Refer the section Remove and Pin from the article
Pin, remove, and customize in Quick access for the steps. If
the issue still persists, refer Method 2.

Method 2

Reset or clear the Quick access Shortcuts

The below steps will clear the custom pinned and frequent items listing in Quick access.

1. Open the command prompt as admin.
   
2. Type the command and hit enter.
   
   del %appdata%\microsoft\windows\recent\automaticdestinations\*
   
3. Restart the computer and check the status of the issue.
   

OR

1. Open the run command (Windows + R key). Type in
   
   cmd.exe /c del "%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations\f01b4d95cf55d32a.automaticDestinations-ms"
   and hit Enter.
   
2. Restart the computer and check the status of the issue.
