Windows 10: Can't activate Win 11 after replacing a faulty Mobo - impossible to get response from...

HiI have had to replace a faulty Mobo that kept crashing on me. Windows 11 has rebooted with the new Mobo and is working stably but am not able to activate the machine.Initially activation troubleshooter said the licence had already been used - I logged into my Microsoft account and the same PC name was showing twice - once was the old instance and one the new instance. I detached the old workstation name from my account and tried again to activate but now shows only my other 2 machines.I have the licence keys still from a couple of my machines on Win 8.I have tried 4 times to contact Micros

OEM and Faulty Mobo on PC build

I built a new computer and installed windows 10 with an oem and have to replace the mobo because it was faulty (audio ports do not function) upon installation, will I have to buy a new copy of windows if I get a replacement mobo for one that was faulty
on day 1?

You will have to contact MS Support to get help activating after you replace the MOBO.

There is one exception to the no transfer rule that others have cited. That is when you replace the MOBO under warranty with the same model MOBO. So, get confirmation from HP that this is an equivalent replacement before contacting MS.

 

Impossible to reinstall Internet Explorer 11

I have Windows 10 Pro v.1511 10586.36. Internet Explorer 11 has been wiped out. I need IE 11 for my work

Impossible to reinstall. Search "internet explorer" finds Edge, not IE.

IE appears nowhere in program lists; not even in "uninstall a program"

There are 2 inactive IE directories (without IE exe) in program files and in program files 86.

I cannot install the last full version of IE 11. Win 10 says: a more recent version (=Edge) is already installed on your computer.

Is there a solution to force Win 10 Pro to accept reinstall IE 11?
