Windows 10: Can't activate Windows 10 Home license

I have an issue with the activation of my Windows 10 Home N version.On my laptop Windows 7 OEM was installed.Now I want to update the laptop to Windows 10 Home N and have a valid licence number.However I can't activate Windows 10 error 0xC00F050 "The software license-server has reported that the productcode is invalid."Is this caused by the EOM of Windows 7?Can I remove the EOM partition from the harddisk and give it a new try?Is there a possibility to restore or place back the EOM partifion afterwards?

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?

or you could hack it with a crack but please note this is always risky and you don't know what's in the hack
