Windows 10: Can't activate Windows after reinstallation on new hard disk

I recently installed a new hard disk and installed Windows 11 Home on it. The previous Windows installation on the other hard disk said that it was activated and linked to my digital account. The product key was accepted when I initially installed Windows with the same Microsoft account, but now it says it is not activated. The error code is 0x803FA067. "Troubleshoot" doesn't work. I found a web page that said I needed to remove the key from the other installation with slmgr /upk, but that hasn't helped either. I tried the various "get help" pages, but some of them are broken or refer to thi

Reinstall Windows 10 to new hard drive

• Are you trying to reinstall Windows 8 or Windows 10?
• If you already upgraded to Windows 10, were you able to create a new copy of the recovery drive?

Please be informed that you cannot install the activated Windows 10 on to the new hard disk.

If you are replacing the hard disk then you may get Windows 10 activation errors.

If you are purchasing a new hard disk then, you may have to install genuine Windows 7 (SP1)/8.1 to upgrade to Windows 10 to get Windows 10 activated.

I suggest you to run check disk on the hard drive to see if there are any corruptions.

Follow the below steps:

• Windows key + X, click Command Prompt (Admin).
• Command Prompt, type the following command, and then press
  ENTER:

chkdsk /f

Disclaimer: While performing check disk on the hard drive, if any bad sectors are found then check disk will try to repair that sector. Any data available on a bad sector might be lost.

Once Check Disk completes, boot the computer and then check.

New hard disk: reinstall free downloaded Windows 10

I have a laptop originally with windows 8, upgraded to 8.1. I got the free download for Windows 10 Home. About two weeks ago my hard disc crashed. Now I have a new hard disk but no backup or any external source to reinstall Windows
10 (I got no activation key with my free download).

Can I reinstall it using a USB from someone else's computer? Do I have to buy a new licence to be able to reinstall it?
