    Can't activate Windows after reinstalling windows


    Pretty much just that. I have a physical Windows Key which I used to activate on my new PC and everything worked great. That was the second PC I've used this same activation on. Last night I reinstalled windows because I ran into some issues and set my PC up as a new device. Now I can no longer activate windows. There were no hardware changes but I'm being told there were.I get this message: We can't reactivate Windows as our servers aren't available right now. Wait for a few minutes or try adding your Microsoft account again.Learn mor

    Windows 7 not genuine problem

    It seems like that's an OEM windows copy, it will do that the every time you reinstall the OS. If you have the key, next time you see the "not genuine windows copy" click it and choose to activate by phone, everything else is pretty straight forward as it explains step-by-step. If it doesn't work, then its highly likely that you got a Pirate copy.

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Reinstall Windows?

    You don't need to reinstall windows. Go to the device manager and remove uninstall the processor and motherboard drivers listed. When you start the system back up you should be able to re-install the new ones. I just changed my mobo/processor Friday, everything is fine.

    BTW I have seen some reviews that state practically no difference in using more than 2gb of ram.
