    New SSD activate Windows

I just upgraded my computer and purchased an SSD. I cloned my HDD and am now running Windows 10 from my new SSD. It would appear that I need to Activate Windows again now that it has been changed, but I'm unable.

    I followed the guide here:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/20530/windows-10-reactivating-after-hardware-change

When I get to the step:

The troubleshooter will show a message that Windows can’t be activated on your device. Select I
changed hardware on this device recently, and then select Next.

I'm prompted to enter a Microsoft account. No matter what I enter here I get the error. Oops something went wrong. The service isn't available.

I can't proceed past this step.

Activating Windows 10 on new SSD

    Hi there

I have the Windows 10 Pro 64 bit version with an OEM license activated on my laptop. I would like to replace my HDD with an SSD. I would like to understand how to activate the license on the new SSD. Please note that i would prefer to do a fresh install
of the OS rather than cloning my HDD to SSD. Would the license be activated automatically or would there be any other steps involved. Please note that i would
not be changing the motherboard, just the hard drive. Thanks in advance for your help and support.

Cant activate windows because new RAM and SSD

move to a new ssd and keep windows activation

specs: Laptop: ASUS (2016), Windows 10, Samsung SSD

Hello, so long story short the original hard drive that was in my laptop (HHD) has failed me, and in the meanwhile until I can get that resolved, I want to just start fresh with a new hard drive, this time a SSD. I have a Windows ISO USB (the official media creation tool provided from the microsoft website however it wasn't created on my original hard drive/computer) and my laptop was pre-built (bought from chain electronic store) and from what I've gathered it's an OME so it should have a windows activation key built inside of the motherboard and in theory I can just use the windows ISO USB I have and load window with a fresh start right?

Since I will not be able to access my windows recovery environment in the original hard drive, since I will be loading from the ISO USB, do I need to worry about the windows 10 key activation? Since my computer came prebuilt with windows installed from the factory what do I do when it asks for the activation key? I was never given one and nothing of the sort was provided on or inside the box. Do I continue without it and eventually the computer will recognize it from within the motherboard?

I want confirmation on whether these would be the correct steps to take and any problems I may face and how to combat them:

    1. Open laptop (I've already done this before) and replace the HDD with the new SSD, and close it back up.
    2. Turn on computer and boot from the windows ISO USB and follow the steps to install windows.
    3. I'm done here, basically use normally and reinstall all my programs and what not.
