Windows 10: Can't activate windows on a new computer.

Help

I have recently upgraded from a z97 system to an x99 system and my new system won't activate windows and the info I have found thus far has not been helpful.

Would someone be able to help me out? Screenshots linked bellow will illustrate the issue. The first picture is a screenshot from my old computer (I reinstalled all the hardware to get that shot haha) where windows is clearly activated. Upon installing the "new" hardware and attempting to activate, I get an error telling my my old system isn't activated.

I am pretty sure I am missing something obvious here.


Just for background information this specific version of windows was from an old windows 7 version that I upgraded to windows 10 a while ago. I don't know if that would impact anything. Also on my Microsoft account under my listed devices I have 2 computers under the same name (DESKTOP-59TK1QC), one saying that it has a Z97X-UD5H-BK (old motherboard) with a i7-6800K (new cpu) installed, these 2 parts are incompatible, which leads me to believe that something has gone a miss on Microsoft end.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Follow either of these steps to fix the issue with the Active window hiding behind.

Method 1:
I suggest you to disable window by hovering over it with the mouse and check if it helps. To do so I suggest you to try the below given steps and check if it helps:

1. Press Windows key + X key and click on Control Panel.
2. Select or click Ease of Access.
3. Click or tap onEase of Access Centre.
4. Click on Make the Mouse Easier to Use was uncheck Activate Window by hovering over it with the mouse.
5. Check if issue is resolved.

Method 2:
I would suggest you to completely uninstall the touchpad driver and reinstall it. Kindly follow the below given steps.

1. Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.
2. In the list of devices, you should see the touchpad drivers.
3. Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
4. In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
5. In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes” option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.

 

Computer Won't Reboot - AMD Data Change...Updata New Data to DMI

If he is getting stuck at verifying DMI pool data, that means his BIOS isn't finishing the POST process before it's hanging up. Although I'm confused now because he said he tried re-installing windows which would indicate that the machine is getting through the entire POST process.

I'm confused now. I think we need a better, more descriptive version of what exactly is happening.

Maybe a full step by step process of what is happening?
