Windows 10: Can't activate Windows on old company laptop

Ok so I purchased an ASUS SonicMaster a few weeks ago from someone on FB Marketplace and I'm regretting it. It came with Windows 10 Pro installed, which I later discovered has been blacklisted?? I attempted to update to the latest version of Windows 11 and realized that there are several outdated drivers that cannot be updated because Windows isn't even activated. Once I attempted to activate Windows with an old product key, I discover that the laptop was once a work device and I basically can't do anything to it without being connected to the former company portal. This error code is usually caused by a problem with the product key. For better assistance, we would like to clarify how you got the Windows 10 Pro? Is it supplied by a company?

As an initial troubleshooting step, we suggest that you run the Activation troubleshooter and try activating Windows 10 Pro again. To run the Activation troubleshooter, follow these steps:

• Click the Start button and select the Settings
  icon.
• Choose Update & Security from the list.
• Select Activation in the left pane of the window.
• Click Troubleshoot.

If your Windows 10 Pro is supplied by a company, we recommend that you get in touch with your organization's support for assistance with the activation.

Company selling some of their old laptops

The company I work at wants to sell some of their old laptops. Is it legal to sell these old laptops with Windows 10 installed on it? Does the license type matter (oem, retail, etc.)? Does it matter that we have OLP?

Of course the laptop will be factory reset prior to sale so it has no company/personal information.
We are not interested in transferring any licenses or removing any hard drives.
Is there a process required such as unlinking accounts?
If it matters, these laptops came directly from Lenovo.com or from a VAR with Windows 10 Pro already installed on them.
