  1. Can't add or delete files from mapped network drive

On my home network...no domain. My desktop computer is running the latest updates to Windows 10. I have hard drives connected to the USB port of my main router Asus RT-AX86U Pro and the USB port of a router I have configured as an access point TP-Link Archer C8.The Asus drive is mapped as K: and the TP-Link drive is mapped as L:I can access both drives in Windows Explorer and see the files in them. The drive connected to the Asus router K: works as expected. The drive connected to the TP-link router L:, I can open the drive, I can view the folders and files on it, I can access and op

    Mapped Drives Issues

To clarify .... the issue is the Windows 10 OS. It is with Windows File Explorer. The Mapped drives used to appear in File Explorer's left panel list of drives and folders. Two days ago File explorer stopped show the mapped drives. so not they don;t appear in the list of Drives and folders.

    - - - Updated - - -

I did, it has no effect. I also check the NAS devices they support SMB 2.0. Also I have several other computers on my home network they work fine with the mapped drives and They do not have SMB 1 turned on. So it is something that happened to the computer in question.

  3. How to delete old share from showing up in network

Use these steps to remove a mapped network drive using Command Prompt:

    1. Open Start.
    2. Search for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option.
    3. Type the following command to delete the mapped network drive and press Enter: net use d: /delete In the command, replace the “d” for the drive letter of the mapped drive you’re trying to remove.

      Code:
In the command, replace the “d” for the drive letter of the mapped drive you’re trying to remove.

    4. Restart your computer.

After you complete the steps, the mapped network drive should not longer be available on your device.

  4. Can't add or delete files from mapped network drive

    Deleting Mapped network drive

I have all my music files on a WD MyCloud drive which is connected to my home network. I previously mapped my M:/ drive to the music folder on my MyCloud drive via it's IP address. Then the IP address of the MyCloud drive changed and the drive showed as
disconnected. But the drive's contents are still readable and writable by windows explorer But now I cannot disconnect the drive (This Network Connection Does Not Exist) And the drive no longer appears in the list of mappable drive letters under Map a Network
drive. My question is how do I delete this disconnected network drive so I can re-map it again with the correct URL.

***Original title: Previously mapped network drive now showing as disconnected but is still readable and writable.***
