    Can't adjust HP laptop RGB levels in Windows 10


    My HP laptop, a Pavilion dv7-3165 with AMD Radeon HD Mobility 4200, has a video problem where dark portions of the screen have a red cast. It was sometime ago when I solved the problem by adjusting RGB levels. This was when I was on Windows 7 but I can't recall if I did it by the AMD Catalyst Control Panel or by a Windows control panel.

    When I upgraded to Windows 10 I found there doesn't seem to be any RGB adjustment facility except for Background window colors, not the overall screen. The latest AMD drivers don't seem to include the Catalyst Control Panel so I installed the earlier Catalyst Software Suite 13.1 for windows 8 64 bit as it claimed to have the Catalyst Control Panel. But I can`t find that control panel.

    Without an OSD adjustment like on most monitors I`m stuck. Any ideas out there?

    Adjust Screen Brightness and Resolution in Windows 10

    The screen brightness adjustment keys of my HP Pavilion laptop are not recognized by Windows 10. It is so bright that it is harming our eyes. Also, I followed the suggested alternate steps from many websites and none of them worked as the brightness adjustment
    option is not at all available even not inside Control Panel.

    Please note that before installing Windows 10, I got notification that my laptop is compatible for the upgrade. Can you please help?

    laptop won't sleep can't adjust brightness

    Hi,

    As you are unable to get the option for sleep in the Start menu, I suggest you to follow the steps provided by
    John T in the link provided below and check:

    Why windows 10 buttons are missing sleep and hibernate command?

    Also, follow the steps provided below and check if you are able to adjust the brightness.

    • Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapters.
    • Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.
