Windows 10: Can't adjust sound levels seperately

Hello all,I've recently ran into somewhat of an accessibility problem. I usually manually adjust the sound levels left and right manually to suit my specific needs, however lately Windows won't let me. It automatically adjusts the level from the right to match the left and vice versa, which is really, really unhelpful at best and quite annoying actually. I've tried adjusting the levels both via the settings and control panel but end up running into the same problem with both. I'm using a JBL headset and I don't have the same problem with it when I use it through my phone so I don't think my

Welcome to Microsoft community.

You can customize the sound level for individual applications through the Volume Mixer. Here's how you can access it:

1. Right-click on the Volume icon in the taskbar (usually located in the bottom right corner) and select "Open Volume Mixer."
   
2. A Volume Mixer window will open, displaying a list of all the applications that are currently producing sound.
   
3. Find the application for which you want to customize the sound level and adjust the corresponding slider to increase or decrease the volume for that specific application.
   
4. You can also click on the speaker icon below the slider to mute or unmute the sound for that application.
   
5. Repeat these steps for any other applications you want to customize the sound level for.
   

By adjusting the volume levels for individual applications in the Volume Mixer, you can have more control over the sound output on your laptop.

Is there a way to always start the computer at the same sounds level

I suggest you to follow the Steps below and check if that helps.

• Right click on the Sound icon on the Taskbar.
• Click on Sound and Select Playback tab.
• Right Click on Speakers and Select
  Properties.
• Click on Levels tab and adjust the sound level as per your requirement and click
  OK.
• Restart your computer and check if the sound level remains same.

How to adjust the sound level on the USB connection

Hi

I can adjust the sound level on my laptop to the embedded speaker and the speakers in the external screen.

But when I adjust the sound level up and down to the USB (C-media USB headphone set) nothing happens.

However, I can adjust the sound level on the Spotify volume, but not on the laptop. So I can control sound level from my Spotify app, but not the notification/alarm sounds from my laptop. These sounds are on fixed full volume.

I went to the sound control panel, but I could not find a way to enable the sound level adjustment.

Do I need a special USB A-B cable for audio sound?

I will highly appreciate you advice.
