Can't boot into bios after installing new gpu

I just installed a gpu into my pc, but after setting it up it didn't appear in task manager. So I was gonna enable my gpu in bios that's what I was told to do when I went searching around. However when I go through the suggested route left shift and restarting there is no uefi option I can choose. And when I tried booting from startup pressing f12 as that's what my pc uses I am immediately stumped. I don't know what I'm looking for and I can't find anything online about it.

    :)

  2. Pc boots up to BIOS After removing gpu

    Hello Yuval Evron,

Good to see you in Microsoft Community.

It seems like there are a few different issues happening with your PC booting into BIOS after removing the GPU and some previous changes to the motherboard, CPU, and RAM.

Let's try to troubleshoot the problem step by step:

    1. Re-seat the GPU: Before we do anything else, try re-seating the GPU back into its original slot. Sometimes, improper connections can cause booting issues.
    2. Disable CSM (Compatibility Support Module): Since you mentioned that enabling CSM did work before, try disabling it this time. If the option keeps reverting to enabled, it could be a sign of a BIOS issue or an incompatibility. If disabling CSM doesn't work, re-enable it for now.
    3. Check boot priority: Ensure that the boot priority is set correctly in the BIOS. The drive containing your operating system (usually your primary storage drive) should be set as the first boot option.
    4. Check for Windows corruption: To rule out Windows-related issues, you can try creating a bootable USB with Windows installation media (using another PC) and see if it recognizes your storage drive during the installation process. If it does, you can attempt to repair or reinstall Windows. This will also help verify if your OS drive is functioning correctly.
    5. Test with a different GPU (if available): If you have access to another GPU, try installing it in your system and see if the PC boots up properly. This will help determine if the issue is related to the GPU or something else.
    6. Test without the GPU: As a final step, try booting the system without the GPU installed. If your CPU has integrated graphics (check if your CPU supports this feature), connect your display directly to the motherboard's video output. This will help determine if the issue is isolated to the GPU or if there's a broader problem.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there could be a hardware proble

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

  4. Can't boot into bios after installing new gpu

BSOD on startup after installing a new gpu.

    Error code 0xc000021a.

I've put the original gpu back in but I still get the same blue screen. I've tried performing an SFC scan (100% verification with "Windows Resource Protection could not perform operation") and these CMD Prompt statements:

    • Bootrec /fixMBR (successful)
    • Bootrec /fixBoot (Access denied)
    • Bootrec /rebuildBCD (successful but identifies 0 windows installations)
This last one has me worried. My BIOS is reading my only connected drive (which is what my windows is stored on) so it can't be because the boot drive isn't there.

I'm guessing at this point that my Windows install somehow got corrupted but I'm hoping there's still a clean fix. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
