Windows 10: Can't boot my laptop/ boot manager missing or not fount, Black screen after booting from USB

Hi guys and gals,


I desperately need someones help.

One day my laptop won't boot anymore, saying that "boot failed/boot manager not found or missing" something like this.

I have an acer Aspire ES1-731,

This is what I already tried to solve the issue, but unsuccessful. I changed boot priority order to USB and enabled F12 boot menu to boot from the USB drive.

-I made a boot-able USB with windows media creation tool on a 64GB usb lots of space after formatting it as default and the 2nd time as NTFS.

-I changed my bios settings to LEGACY and later tried with UFEI black screen is all I got after rebooting,

-I made a boot-able USB with Rufus and formatted my USB drive as default, disabled secure booting. Black screen again after booting

-I changed Bios setting to LEGACY, disabled secure booting, black screen again after booting.

-Tried to create a new boot-able usb formatting my usb as NTFS, and tried to boot with UFEi and Legacy options, still black screen.

In all above cases I see a small windows logo and the white dots circling before I enter the "Black screen"


I'm losing my mind here. I have very important documents on my HDD drive that I can't afford to loose.

A kind of similar discussion on this forum didn't help me coz I already tried those suggestions.


Can someone pls help.

Boot Manager Is Missing

You need to use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows Recovery Environment. For that you need to boot into Recovery Environment and perform a "Startup Repair". If that fails then boot into WinRE again, and go to the "Command Prompt" and execute this command:

Bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd

Booting from USB on x38 Motherboard, NOT?

See sys specs... ASUS ROG x38 motherboard, flashed to x48 Rampage.

In BIOS under "Boot Device Priority", I select and of the 3 boot device slots, and no where do I find an option for USB, these are the only options in each:

• 1st floopy drive
• HDD: P0-WDC WD2500KS
• ATAPI CD-ROM
• Disabled

Is there a place in the BIOS to enable boot from USB?

It's AMI, says v02.61 on the BIOS screen

 

Help with USB Boot Image

I am trying to boot from my USB flash drive. I followed the instructions step for step that are in the article on this website. I downloaded the HP program and the USB Image zip file. I ran the HP flash program and pointed it to the folder where I unzipped the USB Image files to. I then copied all the files over to the USB memory stick as instructed. When I restart my computer and press F12 to go to the boot menu I have 3 options: SATA hard drive, CD-ROM drive, or USB Device. So I choose USB device and when it reads the USB memory stick all I get is the error "Non-system disk, replace and hit any key" Its like the USB memory is missing some system files or it doesnt have the master boot record or something. Somebody please HELP!!! I want to flash the bios in a new video card and I have to boot to DOS and I dont have a floppy drive and I have Win XP so a USB boot is probably the best option I have.
