I can reboot and everything works fine for a few hours. Sometimes a day. Then I get a "This page can't be loaded" when I try to go anywhere, except Google still works.

I can still ping sites in terminal just fine. Have run Defender scan and AVG.

    Version 1903 Build 18362.778

    Thanks in advance!

    :)

  2. Can ping but not browse

    Hello Tony,

We appreciate your patience on this issue. I would like to assist you with further information from here.

From the description provided, I understand that the Windows Firewall is blocking the browsers from accessing the internet.

I would suggest you to check in the list of allowed programs if the browsers (including Microsoft Edge) are included. Follow the below steps.

    • Right Click on the Start Menu and select Control Panel.
    • Choose Windows firewall.
    • Select the option Allow an app or feature through windows Firewall in the left navigation panel.
    • Further on, you can uncheck the browser applications which you think are blocked by the Windows Firewall.
Hope the above information is helpful. If you need further information, feel free to write to us and we would be happy to help you.

    Thank you.

    Method 2:

Step 1: One of the components of the Internet connection on your computer is a built-in set of instructions called TCP/IP. TCP/IP can sometimes become damaged or corrupted. If
you cannot connect to the Internet and you have tried all other methods to resolve the problem, TCP/IP might be causing it.

Let’s reset the winsock entries and TCP/IP stack and to troubleshoot the issue further.

    Follow the steps:

    • Press Windows Key + X together and select
      Command Prompt (admin).

    • Reboot the computer and check.
    Step2:
    Flush your computer's DNS cache.

    • From Start screen, type command prompt.
    • Right-click on Command Prompt
      and choose Run as Administrator.
    • At the command prompt, type the following commands. Press Enter after each command.
    ipconfig /flushdns

    Can ping but not browse

    Hi Bob,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community.

    • Have you tried with other browser? Was the result same?
    • Were you able to ping your default gateway?

This issue may occur if the Enable IEEE 802.1X authentication for this network check box is selected. If this check box is selected, but there is no server to authenticate against, the connection is disconnected. If you reestablish
the wireless network connection, it disconnects again after a short time.

To disable IEEE 802.1X authentication, follow these steps:

    a. Windows + R, type ncpa.cpl, and then hit Enter.

    b. Right-click your wireless network connection, and then clicks Properties.

    c. Click the Wireless Networks tab.

    d. Under Preferred networks, click your wireless network, and then click Properties.

    e. Click the Authentication tab, click to clear the Enable IEEE 802.1X authentication for this network check box, and then click OK two times.

    Do keep us updated.

    Regards,
