  1. Can't Change Date of .MOV file because of 0xC00D3E8E Error Code

I'm trying to change the media created date of a .MOV file, because Microsoft Photos is using the wrong date to store the video so it's out of order. I'm getting an 0xC00D3E8E error message though and can't get around it. The video is on my home computer, so the file belongs to me and is in my name in the Security tab.How do I clear this error so I can change the date?

    :)

I’ve done everything that Microsoft has offered to fix my problem with changing media create dates for .MOV, MP4, etc files. The April update changed something to these files making them “read only, Windows error code 0xc00d3e8e” . I’ve tried everything, even reinstalling Win 7. Of course I could edit these files in Win 7.... but everyone is abandoning Win 7 even though everything runs faster in 7... 20% or more. Hopefully someone will have a fix for this read only error. Thanks

Hi, could you explain how you are doing that please?
    A screenshot would be helpful.

How does that relate to the error number? E.g.
    - do you get the error number only for files whose creation date you have changed
    or
    - do you get the error number when you try to change the creation date
    or
    - do you get the error number for all such files of that type, and if so when?

A while back I came across this small tool- it might be of interest.

I’m using build 17763.1 right now. The media files I’m have problems with can’t be date edited. I did try a windows build from about 2 years ago and you could edit the media created date. The lastest version is where I get the read only error code. The date of the file is also changed from the original date to the current date or something else. I have run CMD SFC / scannow, but not as many times as suggested. I haven’t tried using power shell for the SFC /scannow. I’m not sure of the syntax for using that in powershell. In addition, if the original media create date was 12/12/2012, the new version of windows will change that date to whatever it wants, I imagine the the date windows is installed, then I’m unable to change it to the current date; the read only error occurs. I’ll include a screenshot of this when I get home.... currently using my cell phone.
