Windows 10: Cant change UAC notification level.

Hello, I have recently changed the notification level of the UAC to never notify but then I wanted to undo that because I could not run apps as administrator. But when I try to change it back by pressing the Change settings button under UAC in the control panel but nothing happens when I press it.Does anyone know

Please provide more information to help you better:

1. Have you made any changes to the pc prior to this issue?

2. Have you logged in as admin on the pc?



I suggest you to change the user account control settings and check if it helps.

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

 

UAC not allowing software activation

Once again the so called support engineer did not even read the entire thread before posting yet another solution that did not do any good.

However, I was able to solve my situation without your help after all. My original question was how do I turn off UAC. the method suggested in this thread only turns the notifications for UAC off not the UAC itself. In order to turn off UAC completely,
I went into the registry and turned it off there. After doing this, everything installed perfectly.
