Windows 10: Can't change Windows PIN without internet, can't connect to internet from login screen

Upgraded my motherboard and CPU and now can't login to windows 11 because it says my PIN needs to be reset but I can't reset my PIN because I can't connect to the internet because the drivers for the WiFi aren't installed. The main thing I'm wondering at this moment is why does it not simply default to asking me my password, giving me access to the system so I can install the drivers needed to connect to the internet. What reason could there be for the system not to default to your password when this happens? You used to be able to switch between the options but thinking back I don't think I'v

What do you mean by not detected, that you are not able to get an Internet connection or that that connection icon doesn't show up but you can still access the Internet? Also, what OS are you using? (XP SP3)

Maybe Windows enabled the firewall for the LAN device (sometimes the firewall causes more problems than it solves), and if you are using a router (with NAT) you can safely turn off Windows firewall for that device only, you can do this by performing the following changes:

• Leave Windows Firewall turned On
  
  
  
• And now Disable it for the LAN only (un-checked box):
  
  
  

Other solution might be related to DHCP, and that depends if you had a static IP addresses on your computer or the router assigned you an IP address via DHCP. You might wanna check out this related thread

 

Changed motherboard, can't change PIN at login due to no internet

I just swapped motherboard, the old one was broken.
Now I can't log in because I need to change PIN at login for some reason and there is no internet connection.
How can I get around this?
