Windows 10: Can't communicate bidirectionally over the network

I hope one of you geniuses can figure out the problem that I have been struggling with. I have searched high and low on the internet for a solution but have yet to find one that works.I have computer A which is a desktop running Windows 11 Home version 22H2 and computer B which is a laptop running Windows 11 Home version 22H2.I have set up on both computers file sharing for the appropriate folders and allowed permissions for everything for everyone.Computer A recognizes computer B and its folders and can copy and access files within those folders with no problem. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

I suggest you to try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Method 1: Network discovery might be blocking you from seeing other computers and devices on the network. Check if the Network discovery is turned on. If the network discovery setting on your computer is set to off, you
won't see other computers and devices on the network.

Steps to Turn on network discovery.

• Press Windows key, type sharing and click on
  Manage advanced sharing settings.
• Under Private, Network discovery, check mark the option
  Turn on network discovery.
• Try the same on all the computers connected to the network.

Method 2: If the issue still persists, run
HomeGroup troubleshooter and check.

HomeGroup troubleshooter finds and fix problems with viewing computers or shared folders in a HomeGroup.

• Press Windows key, type troubleshooting
  and select it.
• Click on View all in the left pane and click on
  HomeGroup.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Another question, is this on a home network or a work network? The steps @eidairaman1 listed are always a good first step. If this is on a work network you manage, I'd be much more concerned than the home one. It is possible someone is screwing with you, but malware could also be the culprit.
